ABOUT ME

Hi my name is Shany Dvora and I’m a Tel Aviv based artist and graphic designer. My work revolves around issues of generational family ties, immigration, cultural appropriation, gender and the unique middle eastern identity.

I find inspiration in traditional crafts of the Jewish communities (such and embroidery, weaving and jewelry) that have developed over the rich history of the levant. The main objective of my work is to find the common ground between my Jewish heritage and the traditions, aesthetics and graphic elements of the Middle-Eastern culture surrounding us. My work has been published and exhibited in several venues and magazines in Israel and abroad.
